About

Introducing Julie Boyer

Thank-you for taking the time to check out my blog and learning  a bit more about me. Right now, I wear many different hats: I am French teacher at a Montessori school, I own a private French Tutoring business and I have also launched a new business with Agel Enterprises, which I am very excited about! One of my passions is traveling, and owning a global business certainly helps to grow that passion.

When I graduated from McMaster University with a Kinesiology degree, I had no idea I would end up here. I spend my first six years out of school working for several blue-chip companies, in a variety of different roles.  From customer service to manager to account analyst, I moved around from company to company trying to find the role that was right for me. Being bilingual allowed me to work in many different roles that serviced customers across Canada, but I was never really passionate about it and found that I was quickly bored of the cubicle environment. I did learn a lot in many of these roles and had the chance to work with some amazing people. And my passion for triathlon was ignited when I worked at New Balance Canada.

I came to a crossroads in 2004, my contract was ending with my current role and I hadn’t really found something that I really wanted to do – I was already sick of the rat race and took the opportunity to take a step away from the treadmill and moved overseas.  I had the amazing chance to work in Switzerland, France and Cambridge, UK and lived overseas for more than 2 years.  I spent most of my time working at International Camps, teaching French, outdoor education, canoeing, team building and many other sports and activities to children and teens from around the world. My last year was spent teaching at the John F. Kennedy International School in Saanen, Switzerland, literally in the middle of the mountains. This led me to the decision to apply for Teacher’s College, to get my Education degree. I was accepted to Queen’s University Education Program and returned to Canada in September 2006 to go back to school.

Fate or maybe destiny stepped in though, and I ended up leaving school after only 8 days of classes. While I was away in Switzerland, I started with my first MLM company, part-time.  And when I went to the convention a few days after school had started, I was completely hooked and decided that this is something I am very passionate about and made it one of my life’s goals to become a leader and top producer in network marketing.

It took me 2 years to replace my full-time income with my first company. During that time I learned so many things: personal growth and development, the value of a mentor and leadership training and I became passionate about a healthy lifestyle and helping others to achieve their lifestyle goals. It was one of my biggest successes to date.  Yet, once again, another curve ball was pitched, and I walked away from this business in April 2009, to start over with Agel Enterprises.

This might all seem a bit nuts, and well, maybe it is.  To me, life is about the opportunities you did take and not the ones you let slip by.  That’s why I took the leap and started over.  It’s not easy to start again at the bottom and work your way to the top.  It has given me a chance to learn a lot about myself, my dreams and my goals.  Also the chance to return to one of my passions, which is teaching French.

This is only the beginning and I look forward to sharing this journey with you. My mission in life:

To lead a life full of passion and purpose, to rise above mediocrity, to achieve greatness and to personally inspire others to find greatness in themselves.

To your success!

Chère Julie, tu as une grande capacité d’analyse et de synthèse. En résumant ta vie, tes objectifs et ta philosiphie de vie, tu apprends en même temps à cibler tes buts. Et tu écris très bien. C’est bien structuré et intéressant.
Tu as une grande maturité. Je suis privilégiée de t’avoir comme nièce.
