Great suggestion! I love cycling especially now that the weather is warming up. Now if only it would stop raining.

When people are looking forward to have a great form of exercise I can suggest that they could try indulging in cycling. People are fund of going into different places so cycling would be a great option. Indoor trainer are also made available for those who cant go on outdoor cycling, fluid trainer can be a good investment.

Doood! You were smaller than me!! Way to go - it's amazing how much nutrition plays into everything, when we always thought we could workout like crazy and eat anything!

I have a great healthy slow cooker cook book called: The Healthy Slow Cooker - it has some vegan recipes and Allrecipes.com has some too. If I find any I will post them on Fitness Cheerleader and let you know.

It's too bad you aren't running - maybe some time off will help the healing of your joint?

PS - how did that triathlon go?

Hi Julie, This is a wonderful site for vegan recipes and inspiration - she has also written a couple of cookbooks which are really good. The details are on her site. Lots of good nuitrition advise - she is a nuitritionist. She is local as well - a Toronto girl so sometimes has seminars/classes.

Good Luck!!

For vegan cooking, anything in the Moosewood Collection is my bible. Aside from that, I've drawn inspiration from the following cookbooks (not all vegan, but have inspiration how to alter to ensure vegan): "Linda's Kitchen" and "Linda McCartney on Tour", Bulfinch press; "The Great VEgetarian Cookbook - The Chef's Secret Recipes" by Kathleen DeVanna Fish, Bon Vivant Press; and "Discover the Pulse Potential - Peas Beans Lentils Chickpeas", by the Saskatechwan Pulse Crop Developement Board", Centax Books. And lastly, I have a recipe called "Fat Burning Soup" which was given to my father by the hospital dietician prior to a surgical procedure. It's what they give patients who could stand to lose some weight prior to surgery to improve their outcomes. I've incorporated it into a cleanse I've done and I've also just made the soup as a healthy choice to eat anytime. If you want the recipe, let me know. Your program looks good. Good luck!
